Oversized vessels carry the weight of 17th century Chinese tradition appropriated and replicated in their own style by the Dutch. The vase was made in Delft blue and Black. To make the black vases the regular cobalt blue is replaced by black paint  creating a powerfully strong contrast. These impressive vases have a hight of 160 cm.
