Together with Heinen Delfts Blauw Heiko Balster designed a unique cabinet set. This modern take on a typical Dutch decoration piece was designed especially for Masterly The Hague. Master painter Wilma Plaisier also made her own version of this designer cabinet set. The end result is a surprising mixture between modern and classic.

This contemporary cabinet set was designed for Masterly The Hague in which glass was used in combination with ceramics. The challenge for the master painter was to design a pattern to fit this unique piece. "I wanted to make a classic decoration on this modern cabinet set" painter Wilma explains. " So I tried to find a design that compliments and accentuates the shape and also showcases the craftsmanship. With this design I tried to enhance the contrast between the modern shape of the cabinet set and the classic lines of the Delft Blue. Also keeping in mind the parts of the design that would show through the glass. The end result is surprising and unique, and there is only one like it".
